Ice Skate with Auroras
Kotatieva Winter Leisure Park is located in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland. Kotatieva is an authentic, peaceful gem for its visitors, offering them a very special opportunity to ice skate on a unique forest ice trail.
Try something truly different! Experience an unforgettable evening ice skating among snowy trees far away from normality, admiring the breathtaking Aurora Borealis paired with the stars and the moon. Should the Northern Lights be too shy to show up, you’ll be still enjoying the peacefulness and silence far from the rush, noises and lights of the town. Celebrate being together with your family and friends, throw yourself into the world of ice skating. To make the evening even more special you can also choose to have a sauna and hot tub after ice skating!
What does Aurora Skating program include?
The forest ice skating experience in the light of headlamps. Skates, helmets and headlamps provided by us.

Timetable and program:
Aurora Skating is held in the evenings from 6pm to 8pm. With sauna and hot tub, the program ends at 10pm. If you choose the optional transportation service, the travel time is included in these hours.
The maximum number of participants is 10 people. Sauna is suitable for 6 people. For bigger groups, contact our customer service at info@kotatieva.fi

Price for Aurora Skating
The price consists as follows:

Ticket price for adults | €99/adult |
Ticket price for children | €49/child (3-11 years) |
For example, a family with 2 adults and 2 children will pay €396 (program €100 + 2 x adult’s ticket €198+ 2 x child’s tickets €98).
You can add Sauna experience as an option into this program!
Children under 3-years-old are free of charge.
Transportation service available with an additional fee of €100.
The tickets and transportation must be booked latest 2 days before your visit. The maximum number of participants is 10 people. Sauna is suitable for 6 people.
How to prepare?
Sufficiently warm clothing: winter clothes, wool socks, warm beanie, good quality handwear
A camera that can withstand cold weather is a must for the memories
A whole bunch of adventurous mood and an open mind!
Safe visit
As an outdoor park we are a Covid-safe destination. Kotatieva’s location is excellent for social distancing. We have enhanced our hygiene policy and we offer free disposable face masks if needed.
